In short though, every single dishwasher in our ranges excel at cleaning dishes in the most demanding of environments, due to our careful selection of manufacturers. As you progress up through the ranges (and price) you get things like quicker wash times, lower energy consumption (money saving), lower noise emissionand larger wash tanks. Water Softener – Do I need one?

Answer: Usually. Most parts of the US have water that contains more than 100ppm (parts per million) of calcium carbonate aka. ‘Lime scale’. Over time this limescale can build up inside of a machine and cause inconsistent dish washing results or worse, it can build up and cause your machine not to work. If you’re certain that you have ‘soft water’ in your area then you won’t need one, if in doubt though, it’s always better to be cautious and get one.

 

Drain pump – Do I need one?

Answer: It Depends On Your plumbing setup. A drain pump is only needed when your waste pipe is above your water input pipe. When this happens, gravity can’t drain your dishwasher meaning dirty water can’t escape at the end of a cycle, in which case a drain pump is needed. If you’re in doubt, you can arrange one of our qualified engineers to come take a look, usually free of charge.

 

Installation – Do I need it?

Answer: Entirely your call. If you’re comfortable working with dishwashers or you have your own plumber/engineer to hand then whether you decide to use one of our friendly qualified engineers is completely your call, if you want peace of mind though, just ask and we’ll be more than happy to help!

 

Break Tank – Should I get one?

Answer: We strongly recommend that you do. All water suppliers in the US stipulate that a dishwasher should have a break tank. A break tank will stop water flowing backwards into the main water supply of the building.

Essentially, a break tank is a fillable water tank built into your machine, rather than the water going from your supply directly into the machine, it fills this tank first and is then the water gets pumped in. Not only does this prevent backflow but it can help deliver consistent washing results too, as the input pressure of the water is always the same regardless of whether someone else is using the water supply near by e.g for a sink.

 

Parts Warranty – What does it mean?

Answer: Problems are rare but we cover manufacturing defects and component failure completely free. We offer a free ‘parts warranty’ for 1 year on all of our machines. You can get there full definition HERE but essentially we cover the replacement of any defective parts of the machine for 1 year after the purchase date. This covers things like manufacturing defects or component failure rather than replacing parts that have been damaged by customer usage.

 

Dosing Pump – what is it?

A dosing pump is responsible for pulling the dish washer detergent into your dishwasher. Ours have been carefully designed to only use the optimum amount needed to complete a wash and get your dishes sparkling.

 

Dish Washer Salts – What are they?

Dishwasher salts are what water softener use to remove minerals and other deposits from your water. Dishwashers come with a built in salt light that conveniently tells your when you need to top yours up.
